An oak tree with three trunks crushed a van and a pickup truck at the home of Ken and Sally Morgan of Overview Terrace on Sunday evening when the second violent straight line storm in two weeks ripped through portions of western Mecklenburg County.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on July 20 sentenced Carlos Dailey, 39, to more than 22 years in prison for drug trafficking in Mecklenburg County.

The exhibit was filled with one-of-a-kind god art made from recycled parts of the teak tree which is grown in Sumatra, Indonesia.
