Virginia Tobacco Commission extends deadline on Phase I payments

The Virginia Tobacco Commission has extended the final deadline for 2010 Phase I Verification Forms and Applications for Payment to August 20, 2010. Completed and signed Forms must be postmarked no later than August 20, to be eligible for payment under the 2010 Phase I Program. Claims postmarked later than August 20, may not receive payment under this year’s Phase I Program.

State police seek help in locating girl mssing since 1997

Sarah L. Murray, of Lunenburg County, has been missing since Feb. 18, 1997 when she was 14 years old. The photo on the right is an age progressed photo distributed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Childen in 2005, when she would have been 23. The Virginia State Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating the her.
If still alive, Sarah L. Murray of Lunenburg County will be celebrating her 28th birthday on Thursday, July 29. Despite having disappeared more than 13 years ago, the Virginia State Police, Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office and her family have not given up hope on finding her and are asking for the public’s help.
