A single-car crash on U.S. 58 near Boydton, Monday sent both the driver and passenger to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Steven Liles, of Chase City, was heading west on U.S. 58 near Herbert Road when his 1992 Ford Ranger ran off the road into the embankment and slammed into the nearby guardrail, according to State Police reports. The pickup truck then overturned and slid on its hood back into the road before coming to a stop. The passenger, Tony Liles, was transported to MCV in Richmond, while the driver was taken to MCV Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill. The crash occurred around 5:10 p.m.

Virginia State Trooper C.J. Gefell cited Steven Liles with failure to maintain proper control.
