Chase City takes new look at water deal

Community uneasiness about abandoning town wells has prompted Chase City Mayor Eddie Bratton to schedule a special called meeting of Town Council on 6 p.m. Monday, May 17 to review “the implications of making a water source change.”

Chase City adds pay raises to proposed 2011 budget

Chase City Town Council will hold a public hearing 7 p.m. Monday, June 7 on a proposed $1.95 million general fund budget that would hold the line on taxes and fees and give employees a 3.5 percent raise.
