Adell Anderson Hughes Myer of Cluster Springs went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Quinton. Born in Halifax County on Aug. 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Richard Anderson and Lola Crews Anderson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert B. Hughes and is survived by her second husband, Charles W. Myer of Quinton. She was a member of Halifax Baptist Church of Vernon Hill.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Myer is survived by two daughters, Margaret Sneed and husband, Chester of Ringgold and Glenda Lacks and husband, James of Kenbridge, two grandchildren. Karen Sneed of Greensboro, N.C., and Jason Lacks and wife Amy of Victoria and a great grandchild, Conner Lacks of Victoria, three step-sons, Jessie Myer and wife Kathy of South Boston, David Myer and wife Lois of Fredericksburg and Daniel Myer and wife Ann of Quinton, two step grandchildren, Kristie and Zachary Myer of South Boston. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Teresa Sneed.

A graveside service for Mrs. Myer was held Wednesday, March 23 at Halifax Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Greg Noland, Jason Lacks and Brother Rice officiating.
