Adrine Laverne Robertson Banks

Adrine Laverne Robertson Banks, 47, of Chase City died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at CJW Chippenham Hospital, Richmond.

Mrs. Banks was born in South Hill on July 28, 1972 to Charles and Landora Robertson. She attended Bluestone Senior High School, and was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City. In Adrines’ spare time, she enjoyed cooking, walking, reading, and spending time with family.



Cherishing her memories are her husband, Joe L. Banks of Chase City; three daughters, Laqwetta Robertson of Richmond, Jasmine Banks of Chase City and Jade Banks of Meherrin; five grandchildren; her parents, Charles Robertson (Thelma) of South Hill and Landora Sanchez (Jose) of Chase City; two sisters, Connie R. Tucker (Prince) of Atlanta, and Rosalind B. Birchett (Stacey) of Petersburg; two brothers, Jermaine Robertson of Raleigh, N.C. and Terrance Tucker of Chase City; mother and father-in-law, Joe, Sr. and Shirley Banks of Drakes Branch; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Banks of Drakes Branch; sister-in-law, Sharon Banks, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Ella Maurice Goode; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruby Robertson; a niece, Sameia Snead, and a close cousin, Steven Thompson.


A funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City with Rev. Marvin Harris delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
