Alan Scott Green, 60, of Southport, N.C. died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. He was born in Richmond on July 23, 1959, son of late Obediah Loftis Green and Mary Ellen Lankford Green. He graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax and attended Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale. Alan was a jack-of-all trades, helping anyone with anything. He loved boating, the beach, and he never met a stranger. Alan was employed with Lee Linear and most recently with QRP as a Quality Assurance Technician.

Alan is survived by his fiancée, Kim Parks of Scottsburg; sister, Karen Rice and husband Jim of Mebane, N.C. and numerous cousins, nephews, family members and friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel. Interment will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
