Aliene Clack Humphries

Aliene Clack Humphries, 68, wife of John Edwin Humphries, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital.

She was born Sept. 23, 1942 to Robert Taylor and Lizzie Snead Clack. A graduate of Piedmont Community College, Aliene was a Department Manager at Burlington Industries, worked as a Detention Officer with the Person County Sheriff’s Department and worked most recently as a CNA with the Roxboro Nursing Center.

A funeral was held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Nelson Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim McAlister and Don Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In addition to her husband, Aliene is survived by her mother, Lizzie S. Clack, and daughters, Sharon Hamlett and husband Jamie of Roxboro, N.C. and Teresa & husband Jimmy Morris of Oxford, N.C. Her brother, George Garland Clack of Clarksville and four grandchildren Nikki Womack, John and Jason Hamlett and Christopher Morris, and three great grandchildren Kayla and Hunter Womack and Riley Morris.

The family will received friends Monday Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
