Alline Loftis Nunn, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018. She was born July 18, 1946 in Mecklenburg County, to James Harrison Loftis and Dorothy Ann Newton Loftis, and was married to Lawrence Allen Nunn, who survives her. Mrs. Nunn graduated from Bluestone High School, Class of 1964. She began her working career locally at Burlington Industries, but later moved to Revlon, where she worked until her retirement 19 years later. Alline was truly dedicated to her family and friends, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Allen “Simon” Nunn; her two daughters, Sherry Farrer (Shane) of Nelson, and Sharon Tart of Youngsville, N.C., her two sisters, Irene L. Hughes of Lynchburg, and Diane Medley of South Boston, and her brother, James Loftis. Mrs. Nunn is also survived by her two grandchildren, Devin Farrar and Carlee Tart.

She is pre-deceased by Donald Loftis and Annie Mavis Loftis.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 20 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Joey Tucker conducted the service.
