Annie "Polly" Carnes Wilson, age 83, of Chase City, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017. She was born Oct. 21, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Thomas Carnes and Julia Williams Carnes. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and retired from the Chase City Colonial Store.

Polly is survived by her husband, Lee Bernard Wilson; two sons, Thomas Lee Wilson of Chester, and Timothy Bruce Wilson and wife, Lisa of Chase City, and two grandsons, Cody Wilson and Dakota Wilson both of Chase City. She is also survived by one brother, Jimmy Neal Carnes of Chesterfield Co., two brothers-in-law, Daniel C. Wilson and wife, Thelma of Brodnax, and C.W. Royster of Charlotte County, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 11, at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation began one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
