Arthur Clarence Tuck

Arthur Clarence Tuck of Virgilina died July 9, 2013 at Meadowview Terrace at the age of 82. Born in Halifax County on March 11, 1931 to the late Clarence Tuck and Lucille Faulkner Tuck, he was married to Mrs. Jessie Felton Tuck and was a member of Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Tuck is survived by his wife of the home, two grandsons, Clarence Tuck II and Tariq Tuck, both of South Boston, four sisters, Carolyn Veney of Washington, DC, Verdell Claughton and husband, Steven of Cluster Springs, Catherine Fitzgerald and Geneva Tuck, both of Arlington, a brother, George W. Tuck and wife, Ester of Roxboro, N.C., a daughter-in-law, Barbara Tuck of South Boston and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Zelda Richardson, a son, Clarence Tuck, three sisters, Inez Hall, Betty Marie Cash and Janie Louise Cash, three brothers, John J. Tuck, Wallace Tuck and Sylvester Tuck and a son-in-law, Thomas Richardson.

A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, July 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Blue Wing Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Hayward Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the church on Saturday.

Funeral services are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
