Banie Thorpe Farrar, age 86, of Red Oak, passed away on July 23, 2010.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Farrar Carr of Nathalie, and John Carr and wife Jackie of Nathalie; eight great-grandchildren, Zoe Winn, Ava Winn, Jax Winn, Cailee Carr, Emily Carr, Chloe Carr, Tyler Carr, and Samantha Carr; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Harvey Farrar.

She was a member of Public Fork Christian Church. A funeral was held on Monday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at Public Fork Christian Church.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
