Barbara Jean Morris Holt died Thursday, March 26, 2020. Born in Halifax County on March 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Willie O. Morris Sr. and the late Bessie Lee Tuck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Lee Holt.

Barbara was an active, long time member of Union Christian Church. Church was her passion and her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina H. Campbell and husband Billy; grandchildren, Kelsey Campbell and wife Katie and Cori Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Paisley and Asher Campbell; sister, Beatrice Buchanon; brother, Gearld Morris; brothers-in-law, Edward Holt of Roxboro, N.C. and Lonnie Holt; sisters-in-law, Velma Rea Barnhardt, Brenda Ann Culley, Cordilia S. Morris and Ann P. Morris.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas, Albert, Henry, Franklin, Woodrow, Willie “Jr.” and David.

A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at Union Christian Church with Rev. Norman Talley officiating.

The family received friends at Barbara’s home, 6144 Huell Matthews Highway, South Boston.
