Berkley Thomas Spain Jr., 82, of Chase City, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. He was born on Nov. 21, 1938, son of the late Berkley Thomas Spain Sr. and the late Virginia Lucille Inge Spain. 

He was a Bluestone High School Graduate (Class of 1956) and was a life long resident of Chase City. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Chase City. Berkley managed several convenience stores through the years and was an employee for Graham Hardware, Chase City, until he retired.

Mr. Spain is survived by his brother, Steve Randall Spain Sr. (Gale) of LaCrosse; nephews, Steve Randall Spain Jr. and Christopher Ryan Spain; and a great-niece, Mary Gale Spain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Virginia Anne Spain Moss.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, with Rev. Korey Henry officiating.
