Bernard A. Hester, 59, of Chase City died Saturday, July 1, 2017.
Mr. Hester was born in Paterson, N.J., on June 9, 1958 to the late Grady Hester, Jr. and Doris Hester. He was a veteran of the US Army and a former employee of Eddie Newcomb Appliance Service.

Cherishing his memories are one son, Jeffrey L. Carrington (Geneva) of Clover, two grandchildren, Janiyah S. Carrington and Nyeshia N. Carrington both of Clover; his mother, Doris Hester of Chase City; three sisters, Winifred Dodson (Reginald) Wanda Hester and Wendolyn Hester all of Chase City; two brothers, Bryan Hester and Byrone Hester and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City.

Public viewing will be Saturday from 10 a.m.-service time.
