Betty C. Claiborne, 79, of Chase City, died Friday, Nov. 17. Betty was the widow of Roy Claiborne. She was a retired employee of Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation and a member of Wylliesburg Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Debbie Davis of Clarksville, Angie Inge, and husband Barry, of Chase City, son, Mark Claiborne, and wife, Melissa, of Boydton, sister, Juanita Weston, of Red Oak, grandchildren, Joey Davis, Heather Davis, Randi Jones, Roy Claiborne, Amanda Medley, Sarah Inge, and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son Michael Kent Claiborne and a grandson Adam Davis.

A funeral was held Monday at Wood Funeral Chapel. Interment  followed in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
