Betty Jean Tanksley

Betty Jean Tanksley of Halifax died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax County on Feb. 23, 1957, she was 60 years old. She was the daughter of the late Otis Charley Tanksley and Grace Satterfield Tanksley and was a former baton twirling instructor.

She is survived by a brother, Donald Tanksley and wife Liz of Victoria, an aunt, Mildred Seamster of Halifax and a special friend and caretaker, Eddie Sprayberry of Halifax, nieces and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Bryant conducting the service.
