Betty Jennings Arthur, 57, of 197 Cedar Run, Reidsville, N.C. died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home. She was born in Halifax County, a daughter of the late Amos Walton Jennings and Kathleen DeJarnette Jennings.

She is survived by her husband, Larry K. Arthur Sr.; one son, Ken Arthur Jr. and fiancé Sherry Briggs of Raleigh, N.C., one brother, Walton Jennings of Phoenix and one sister, Kataleen Faye Jennings of Rustburg.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home with burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
