Billie Johnson Cole, 95, of Vernon Hill, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2020. She was born in Ringgold, Ga., Dec. 4, 1924, daughter of the late William A. Johnson and the late Eula J. Johnson. She was married to the late Joel Eugene Cole and was as a member of Faith Community Church. White here on earth, she loved and served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Being a loving and faithful wife and mother is the legacy she left to all that knew her. “Her children rise up and called her Blessed.”

Ms. Cole is survived by her children, Teresa C. Crawford and husband Doug of Leola, Pa., Libby C. Hendricks and husband Merle of Rocky Mount, N.C., Joel E. (Joey) Cole and wife Sandie of Vernon Hill, Robert Jefferson (Jeff) Cole and wife Cheryl of Vernon Hill and William Russell Cole (Russ) of Ocean Isle, N.C.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Janet Elaine Cole and Sarah C. Thomas, two brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dane Skelton officiating.
