Carolyn Dinette Faulkner Edmondson

Carolyn Dinette Faulkner Edmondson of Crawley Avenue, South Boston died Tuesday, Feb. 18 at her residence at the age of 75.

Mrs. Edmondson was born in Halifax County on June 21, 1944 to the late Charlie Faulkner Sr. and Virginia Watkins Faulkner. She was a member of Ebenezer C.M.E. Church and was a retired registered nurse.

Mrs. Edmondson is survived by a sister, Patricia Stevens (William) of Roxboro, N.C.; a brother, Larry Alexander Faulkner of South Boston; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Faulkner of South Boston; a brother-in-law, Jean Amedee of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia Sharon Amedee and Gwendolyn Delois Faulkner, and three brothers, Charlie Faulkner Jr., Jerome Faulkner and Harold Faulkner.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. with services at Ebenezer C.M.E. Church with Rev. Andre’ Williamson as eulogist and Apostle Carl Lykes officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

At the family’s request, there will not be a public viewing. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1929 Crawley Avenue, South Boston, for a candlelight vigil on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are provided by Jeffress Funeral Home.
