Carolyn Terry Hicks, 78, of North Main Street, South Boston, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020. She was born in Halifax County on Feb. 11, 1942, daughter of the late Otis Terry and Airlean Edmonds Terry. She was married to the late Carter Lee Hicks Sr. and was a member of Saint Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by one son, Troy Shawn Hicks (Chanda) of Midlothian; two daughters, Angela Hicks Thomas (Kirby) and Wanda Davis, of South Boston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Brennetta Williams as eulogist. Burial will follow in Rose Garden Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a face mask and social distancing will be required.

Public viewing was held Wednesday from noon-6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
