Cathy Davis Ramsey

Cathy Davis Ramsey, 62, wife of Herbert Ray Ramsey, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Cathy was born on July 20, 1951 to the late Shirley Ray and Lena Mae Moorefield Davis. A graduate of Halifax County High School, she was the owner/operator of The Pea Pod and Clarksville Florist on the Lake. Cathy was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband and friends.

In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Chris Bailey of Buffalo Junction and Kelly Rae and J.B. Powell of Clarksville; and son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jennifer Williamson of Buffalo Junction. Her grandchildren, Rachel and Lydia Williamson, Annelise and Elena Bailey and Bentley Powell also survive. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Dean Davis.

A funeral was held Saturday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Revs. Rodney Barwick and Chris Sorenson officiating.

Entombment followed at Oakhurst Cemetery.
