Charles Henry Russell III

Charles Henry “Buck” Russell III, 87, husband of Lucy Lowery Russell, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at MeadowView Terrace.

Buck was born Aug. 27, 1925 to the late Charles Henry Russell Jr. and Ella Louise Watkins Russell. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and Virginia Polytechic Institute and he served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Russell was the retired owner/operator of Russell Supply Company.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Russell is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Roy Creasey; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diane Russell; granddaughters, Mattison and Hadley Russell and step-grandchildren, Joe and Allie Creasey.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Oakhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Moss officiating.
