Charles John Schoendorf Jr.

Charles John Schoendorf Jr., 90, of Vernon Hill, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home. He was born June 19, 1927 in New York City, a son of the late Charles J. Schoendorf Sr. and Anna Henry Schoendorf. He was married to the late Margaret Savage Schoendorf, was a retired school principal from Vineland, N.J., school system and was a Navy veteran of WWII.

Mr. Schoendorf is survived by three daughters, Karen Lemery and husband Michael of Morgantown, West Virginia, Margaret Gager Riley and husband Richard of Concord, N.C., and Nancy Gager and Tate Smith of Vernon Hill; three grandchildren, Kimberly Carson Miller, Connie Joy Bumgarner and Tate Charles Smith; one great-grandchild, Taylor Nicole Smith.

His first wife, Maria Raffo Schoendorf and son, Charles “Chuck” Schoendorf, preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
