Charles Wayne Myer, 79, of 5227 Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston, passed away Thursday at the home of his son in Quinton. He was born in Halifax County on Jan. 17, 1932, a son of the late Albert B. Myer and Maise Johnson Myer and was married first to the late Christine Madison Myer and then to the late Adel Anderson Myer. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a retired Electrolux salesman and service tech.

He is survived by three sons, Jesse W. Myer and wife Kathy of South Boston, David J. Myer and wife Lois of Caroline County and Daniel C. Myer and wife Ann Marie of Quinton; three sisters, Margaret M. Mitchell and Thelma Myer Rowland, both of Richmond and Helen Nichols of Powhatan; two grandchildren, Kristi Myer and Zachary Myer; a step-grandchild, Josh Davis.

A funeral was held Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Bro. Larry Rice officiating. Burial followed in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
