Charlie “C.B.” Lanyon, 84, of Chase City, passed away on June 18,2010.

He is survived by three sons, Lester Lanyon and wife Bonnie of Amelia, Jeffery Lanyon and Corina Martin of Chase City, and Richard Lanyon of Drakes Branch, six grandchildren, Wendy Lanyon, Angela Eckert, Joshua Lanyon, Jordan Lanyon, Richard Lanyon, and Michael Lanyon Mills, and two great-grandchildren, Noah DeJesus and Melissa Eckert.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 21, at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. A funeral service with military honors by Post 43 was held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church.
