Clarence Edward Marrow

Clarence Edward Marrow Sr., 54, of Chase City died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Marrow was born in Mecklenburg County on May 15, 1962 to the late Colonel and Frances Inez Chandler Marrow. He was a 1982 graduate of Central of Lunenburg High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria. Mr. Marrow was a 2012 retiree of Nottoway Correctional Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children, JaQuan Wilson of Richmond and Clarence Marrow Jr. of South Hill; one granddaughter, eight siblings, Anna Crawley, Evelyn Hamlett (Eugene), Bessie Tisdale, Colonel J. Marrow (Teresa), Charlie Marrow and Ray Marrow, all of Victoria, Spencer Marrow of Richmond and William Marrow (Della) of Keysville; seven aunts, five sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Marrow was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Hendricks; a brother, Arthur Chandler and two uncles, James and Edward Chandler.

A funeral was held Saturday, May 13, at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria with Rev. William Moore III officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
