Corinne Lloyd Williams, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at Commonwealth Senior Living Facility, South Boston. She was the wife of the late John R Williams Jr., with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.

Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of Luther and Minnie Lloyd and sister of Louise Lloyd Wyatt. She graduated from C.H. Friend High School and she worked as an executive secretary at Reynold’s Metal, Richmond, as a secretary at the local radio station WHLF and for the local newspaper, where she met her husband. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church, South Boston, and the Halifax County Country Club, where she became an avid and a good golfer. She enjoyed her group a friends, who alternated hosting a gourmet meal night, was in the bridge club and loved to fish.

She is survived by step children, Katherine Langston Williams Austin, John R. Williams III; a nephew, Michael Wyatt; a niece, Anne Wyatt McDaniel; a great nephew and two great nieces.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
