Cynthia Dianne Snead Conner, 61, of Alton died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018. She was born in Halifax County on Feb. 20, 1956 daughter of the late Sam Pete Snead and the late Norma Yates Snead. She was married to the late Acree Buddy Conner and was a member of Fork Baptist Church.

Mrs. Conner is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Conner, of the home; one son, Michael Acree Conner (Ashley) of Virgilina; two grandchildren, Maci and Maddie Conner, both of Virgilina; one sister, Patricia S. Martin (Eddie) of Halifax; two brothers, Ronald Snead (Wanda) of Scottsburg and Sammy Snead (Joan) of South Boston one step-daughter, Beverly Jones (Tino) of Skipwith; step-grandchildren, Rickie Compton (Laci) of Cluster Springs, Casey Compton (Jessica) of Cluster Springs, Amanda Compton of South Boston; special aunt, Connie Perkins of Halifax.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Warfield officiating. Burial followed in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
