Daniel Mark Jones

Daniel Mark Jones, 62, of South Boston, died Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was born in Newton, N.J. on April 10, 1955, a son of Sadie Gass and Ernie Jones and his wife Beverly. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Harmony Hill United Methodist Church in Stillwater, N.J.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones is survived by his companion, Vicki Guthrie; two daughters, Christina Casey and husband Rick Casey of Eldorado Springs, Mo., and Nicole Jones of Oil City, Pa., one son, Steven Jones and girlfriend Rachel Stafirny of Netcong, N.J.; siblings, Heather Prutzman and husband John of Winter Haven, Fla., Sue Lehr and husband Bill of Valley Center, Kansas, Mark Jones of Newton, N.J., Jamie Shrope and wife Jill of Sussex, N.J.; grandchildren, Kalob Johnston, Sean Daniel Casey and Ronan Clemit Casey; his chosen family, Keith Redd and girlfriend Robin Tuck of Clarksville, Kimberly Gordon and husband Scott of Halifax, six grandchildren, Logan Redd, Kadence Gordon, Ethan Gordon, Averie Gordon, Olivia Gordon and Eden Redd.

He was preceded in death by a loving nephew, Joey Savage, maternal grandparents, John William Hill and Wilma Ellen Sipley Hill, paternal grandparents, Frederick Jones and Martha Stephens Pinkle Jones.

A funeral will be held Thursday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Terry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Powell Funeral Home.
