Daniel Robert Blackstock

Daniel Robert Blackstock, 26, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, where he was reunited with his mother, grandfather, and a host who have gone before.

Born in Kingsport, he was a graduate of Gate City High School and attended Radford University.

He was an employee of Texas Roadhouse in Kingsport. Daniel loved the Lord, people, dogs, and the Virginia Tech Hokies. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Fallen Blackstock, and maternal grandfather, O.P. Fallen Jr.

He is survived by his father, Bob Blackstock; maternal grandmother, Christine Fallen; paternal grandparents, Tom and Ann Blackstock ; very special friend, Alysse Baker, and a large number of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 10, from 5 -7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City. A funeral will follow at 7 pm with Robert Russell, PhD officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Nathalie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Daniel’s memory.
