David Earl Dabbs of Saluda’s Lane, Clover died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home at the age of 70. Born in Halifax County on December 5, 1939, he was the son of the late James Dabbs and Lola Hudson Dabbs. He was married to Georgianna Carrington Dabbs and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mr. Dabbs is survived by his wife of the home, two daughters, Pamela Dabbs of Danville and Natisha Jennings of Clover, a son, Earl Junior Dabbs of Clover, six sisters, Estelle Edmondson, Lillian Edmondson and Saluda Carrington, all of Clover, Mary D. Dabbs, Lottie Morton and Arlene Wagner, all of Albany, N.Y., a brother, Jessie Dabbs of Danville, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dabbs was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Dabbs, a sister, Flossie Teel and two brothers, Lovelace and Chester Dabbs.

A funeral service for Mr. Dabbs will be held Saturday, May 1 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Mattie Carr and the Rev. Marvin Bowman conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 1017 Saluda’s Lane, Clover Public viewing for family and friends will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home
