Obituaries David Oakley VaughanSoVaNow.com / February 15, 2021
David Oakley Vaughan died Friday, Feb. 12 at the age of 66. He was born June 8, 1954 to the late Oakley and Margaret Vaughan and was married to Judy Williamson Vaughan. David was the owner/operator of David’s Appliance Repair. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Alton. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and the pool. David was the district director of NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation) for the state of Virginia and the president of the local Halifax area chapter of NWTF. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Shannon Stephens and husband Reid; sister, Carolyn Overbey and husband, Jink; brothers, Wayne Vaughan and Wesley Vaughan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Geraldine Young, Earlene Wilborn and Audrey Birchfield; and brothers, Marshall Vaughan and William Vaughan. There are no services planned at this time, however the family will receive friends and family members at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at http://www.brookslyon.com.
