Dora Crawley Mason, 82, of Turbeville Road, Alton, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at Sentara Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on Dec. 10, 1935, daughter of the late Walter Crawley and Maggie Bell Crawley. She was married to the late George Roger Mason and was a member of Dan River Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mason is survived by five step-children, David (Sherrone), DiAnne Allen (Beverly), Allen (Beverly), Jeffrey (Angela) and Lisa (Wayne); three brothers, Allen, Joseph and Charlie Crawley; three sisters, Mary Wilkins, Ida Robertson and Marie Crawley; six sisters-in-law, Sarah, Gladys, Odella, Mary, Malinda and Audrey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at Dan River Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Wilkerson officiating and Rev. Allen T. Crawley eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday.
