Known fondly as the “Quilt Lady”, she was a homemaker and a member of North Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, Charles K. Hudson and wife, Jewell of Richmond, four nieces, Frances Perkins and husband Jimmie and Libby Slagle and husband, Roger, all of South Boston, Ruby Thompson and husband, Fred of Richmond and Mary Lou Dunn of Danville and one nephew, Billy Arrington and wife Joan of Virgilina, 13 great nieces and nephews and 11 great great nieces and nephews. Ms. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents, James William Hudson and Naomi Wilborn Hudson, two sisters, Mary Alice Hudson Arrington and Clarice P. Hudson and a brother, William J. Hudson and two brothers-in-law, Kerns W. Arrington and Howard L. Dunn. A funeral for Mrs. Hudson was conducted on Sunday, Feb. 27 at North Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Welch, Rev.
