Douglas William Waller, 76, of Nathalie, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at his home. He was born in Halifax County Sept. 26, 1941, a son of the late Gus Lewis Waller and the late Ollie Thompson Waller. He was married to the late Iris Frances Tuck Waller. Mr. Waller was a member of Liberty Christian Church.

Mr. Waller is survived by three sons, Douglas Edward “Eddie” Waller and wife Bobbie of Nathalie, Ronnie Eugene Waller and wife Rhonda of Nathalie, Melvin William Waller and wife Lisa of Longwood, Fla., one daughter, Mary Frances Waller Wooldridge and husband Dudley of Nathalie; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Waller of Nathalie, Jason A. Waller of Nathalie, Justin E. Waller and wife Ashley of Roanoke, David W. Waller and fiancée Alicia Taylor of Virgilina, Matthew D. Waller of Nathalie, Brandon W. Wooldridge of Nathalie, Luke W. Waller of Longwood, FL, Lindsey G. Carter of Nathalie, Melanie M. Carter of Nathalie, Hannah M. Waller of Longwood, Fla., four sisters and one brother, Barbara Carr, Peggy Myers, Joanie Tyree, Judy Cunningham and Bill Waller.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Waller Conner and Bernice Waller.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Christian Church with Rev. Russell Tuck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall at the church and at other times at the home of Eddie and Bobbie Waller, 1062 Meadville Road, Nathalie.
