Elsie Mae Reeves Arendall

Elsie Mae Reeves Arendall, 95, of South Boston, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at The Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on July 28, 1917, a daughter of the late William Thomas Reeves and Minnie Carter Reeves. She was married to the late Oliver Twister Arendall and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Rickie Arendall Augeri of Richmond; one son, William Oliver Arendall of South Boston; one sister, Alice R. Wells of Gibsonville, NC; three grandchildren, Kelly Arendall Hill and husband Jeff of South Boston, Amy Augeri and Andrew Augeri, both of Richmond and five great-grandchildren, Abby Hill, Spencer, Ethan, Trevor and Addyson Baumbach.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of her son, 407 Valley Drive, South Boston.
