Eugene Faulkner, 77, of Alphonse Dairy Road, South Boston died Friday, Jan. 31, 2020 at Sentara Woodview Nursing Home. He was born July 22, 1942 in Halifax County, son of the late Weldon Faulkner and Isabell Waller Faulkner and he attended First Baptist Church, Ferry Street.

Mr. Faulkner is survived by two daughters, Jean Alisa Faulkner of Charlotte, N.C., and Regina Faulkner of South Boston; three sons, Eugene Faulkner Jr. of Bronx, N.Y., Weldon Lamar Faulkner and Demetre Faulkner, both of South Boston; one sister, Frozetta Tucker (Samuel) of South Boston; one daughter-in-law, Samanta Faulkner of Bronx, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Clyde Damon of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Gracie Faulkner Damon and two brothers, John Jr. Faulkner and Bobby Faulkner.

A funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 7, 11:00 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel with Rev. Dr. Earl C. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Garden Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Thursday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2001 Alphonse Dairy Road, South Boston.
