Eva LuVern Speede, 84, of Clarksville, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.

Miss Speede was born in Mecklenburg County, Dec. 8, 1934 to the late James E. and Vivian Tuck Speede. She enjoyed playing with her dolls and coloring.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her sister, Etta D. Watkins (Ervin) and her brother, James Leroy Speede all of Nelson, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

In addition to her parents, Miss Speede was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Speede and her brother, Lawrence Speede.

A funeral will be held Thursday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Wharton Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. James A. Hudson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
