Evie Waller Boyd, 90, of 1011 Florida Trail, Virgilina died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at her home. She was born in Halifax County on Dec. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Emma Waller and Elmer Waller and was married to the late Floyd Edward “Flip” Boyd. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a retired sales clerk with J.J. Newberry.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Edward Boyd and wife Tammy of Virgilina; a sister-in-law, Lottie Hite Boyd of South Boston and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. George Gorman officiating.
