Faye Martin Coates Moore of 1020 Buck Horace Trail, Nathalie, Virginia died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born in Halifax County on November 20, 1939 and was 71 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Simmie Lee Martin and Maude Bernice Wright Martin and was married to Ronald Carter Coates and after his death to Rev. Dwight William Moore, who survives. Mrs. Moore was a member of Liberty Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons, Ronald C. Coates Jr. of Danville and Walter R. Coates and wife Beth of Nathalie, a step-son, Doug W. Moore and wife Barbara of Cary, N.C., a step-daughter, Deborah L. Dixon and husband Thomas of Norfolk, a sister, Janie M. Davis and husband Norman of Coopersburg, Pa., a brother, Maurice A. Martin and wife Betty of Nathalie, four grandchildren, Samantha L. Coates of Norfolk, Kaitlyn Carter Coates, Brandon Walker Coates and Brianna Faye Coates, all of Halifax, seven step-grandchildren, Stephen Blake Powell and Katelyn Elizabeth Redd, both of Nathalie, Daniel R. Moore, Joshua D. Moore, and Sarah L. Moore, all of Cary, and Dwight Joseph Dixon and Victoria Grace Dixon, both of Hampton.

A funeral for Mrs. Moore will be held Friday, April 8, at 3 p.m. at Liberty Christian Church with the Rev. Shelton Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Thursday, April 7,from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at her home, 1020 Buck Horace Trail, Nathalie, VA.
