Francis O. Lewis, 91, of Nathalie, died Sunday, March 10, 2019. He was born in Halifax County on Aug. 15, 1927, son of the late Venable A. Lewis and the late Liza Hudson Lewis. He was married to Phyllis Hodges Lewis, was a member of First Baptist Church of Millstone and a United Sates Army Veteran. Francis was well known in his community as he farmed, worked in tobacco warehouses and as a car salesman. He will be long remembered by many for his outgoing personality and charm.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lewis is survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Hudson “Billy” Lewis and sister, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Lewis.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Millstone Cemetery with Barry Fero officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
