Frank Walker

Frank Walker Sr. formerly of Halifax County, died on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 in Riverview, Fla., at the age of 79. He was born in Halifax County on Nov. 22, 1933 to the late Haywood Walker and Ida Bell Glenn Walker. He was married to the late Glorine Buster Walker.

Mr. Walker is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Walker Snead of Riverview, Fla., and Janet Walker of Brooklyn, N.Y., five sons, Frank Walker Jr. of Houston, Texas, Derrick Walker of Riverview, Fla., Robert Walker, Lester Walker and Keith Walker, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., one brother, Haywood Walker Jr. of South Boston; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax with burial to take place in Memorial Baptist Church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 2-8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home in South Boston.

Funeral services are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
