Freddie W. “Buddy” Wilmoth, 79, of Scottsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018 at Sentara Woodview Nursing Home. He was born in Halifax County on Aug. 29, 1938, a son of the late Freddie W. Wilmoth Sr. and Cecelia W. Wilmoth. He was a member of Fork Baptist Church.

Mr. Wilmoth is survived by two sisters, Edith L. Brockwell and husband Cliff of Lawrenceville and LaVerne W. Gravitt of South Boston; special niece, Audrey L. Persinger and husband Charles of Colonial heights; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Fork Baptist Church at a later date.
