Lt. Col. Geneva K. Jones, USAF (Ret.) 88, of Richmond, passed away on June 18, 2010.

She was retired after twenty-two years of meritorious services as an Air Force Surgical Nurse for which she was awarded the bronze star.

She is survived by her sister, Shannon J. Broadwell, two brothers, Ronald Jones and James P. Jones, one niece, Ann Broadwell, and two nephews, Wayne Broadwell and Lee Broadwell.

A graveside service was held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.

Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
