Georgia Lacks Coleman Davis

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of the home, a daughter, Mary Mitchell and husband, Moses of Randallstown, Md., a son, George Alfred Coleman and wife, Mary Jane of Crystal Hill, five grandchildren, Shenell DeAllfordi and husband, Pierre, Tammy Vice and husband, Shelton, Dennis Coleman and wife, Susan, Danielle Martinez and husband, Keith and Denise Mason and husband, Walter, six great grandchildren, five step children, a sister, Thuria Lacks of Saxe, three brothers, Emerson Lacks of Saxe, Harry Lacks of Harlem, N.Y., and Marcelis Lacks and wife, Gloria of Lynchburg, a sister-in-law, Christine Lacks of Saxe and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and first husband, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, James H. Coleman Jr. a sister, Eliza Richardson and four brothers, Evergie Lacks, Ben Lacks, John Henry Lacks and Sydney Lacks.
A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the residence, 5211 Black Walnut Road, Saxe, VA. Funeral services are by Jeffress Funeral Home.
