Gladys Skelton Ashworth

Gladys Skelton Ashworth, age 93, of Chase City, died Saturday, March 11, 2017. She was born on July 10, 1923 in Charlotte County, to the late Ira Skelton and the late Lelia Toombs Skelton. 

She was homemaker and a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Ashworth of Chase City, numerous nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Carnell Smithson.

Mrs. Ashworth was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John S. Ashworth, one sister and five brothers.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
