Glen Phillip Anderson of Halifax died Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born in Halifax County on Nov. 4, 1935 and was 84 years old. He was the son of the late Henry Doctor Anderson and the late Lillie Crews Anderson and was married to Georgia Pulliam Anderson who survives. He was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Camp Chemical Company. He was an avid hunter and loved raising chickens.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Pulliam Anderson; one sister, Helen A. Owen of Mt. Laurel and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Inez A. Newbill, Nora Lee A. Francisco, and Lucille A. Martin and three brothers, Edgar Anderson, Ernest Anderson, and Oakley Anderson.

A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Sen McGuire and Rev. Tim Owen officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
