Glenn Michael Jones

Glenn “Mike” Michael Jones, 68, husband of Margaret Ellen Jones, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, N.C.

The son of Glenn M. Jones, (deceased) and Delyle Vincent Cronander, of Vashon, WA, Mike was born February 11, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Bethel Tate High School and served his country with the United States Air Force for nine years. He continued to serve as a Civil Service Computer Security Specialist at the Pentagon for 37 years. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America,and eventually retired as a Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.

In addition to his wife of 38 years, Mike is survived by his daughters Kimberley E. Safrit and her husband, Henry, of Beaufort, N.C.; and Christina M. Jones of Richmond. His half-sister, Charmaine Eads of Seattle, Wash. and half-brother, Terry L. Smith of Vashon, Wash. also survive.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones home immediately following the service.
