Grace Inez Bigger

Grace Inez Bigger, 87, of Chase City, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence. Ms. Bigger was born in Chase City, on July 30, 1930 to the late George Edward and Rebecca Gayles King. She was a graduate of historic Thyne Institute in Chase City, a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, and worked as a caregiver.

Cherishing her memories are her sons, Cavin Bigger (Mia) of Richmond and Arthur Herbert (Nichole) of Newark, N.J., daughter, Vanessa Baskerville (Floyd) of Chase City; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aussie Haynes of New York, N.Y., and Juanita Lyons (William) of Chase City and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Bigger was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey, Haley, James, William and Alfred King; sisters, Elnora Beaman, Sallie K. Wade and Zelma King.

A funeral will be held Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church, Chase City with Rev. Dennis King delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday , May 11 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
